RT-PCR COVID-19 Test
Meditech Clinical Services uses the gold standard molecular test method known as reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to test for COVID-19. The qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 method is EUA approved and has superior sensitivity and a similar limit of detection.
Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test
Used for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 in human nasopharyngeal swab specimens directly collected from individuals who are suspected of COVID-19. Results provided in 15 minutes.
A/B and RSV PCR tests
Now Offering Influenza A/B and RSV PCR tests. We use the molecular test method, RT-PCR, for simultaneous detection and differentiation of RSV, Influenza A, and/or influenza B nucleic acid in clinical specimens.
Testing Providers
We can provide Credentialed/Certified/Licensed health professionals for on-site specimen collection. All have extensive experience with COVID-19 specimen collection with various methods including Nasopharyngeal, Oropharyngeal, Anterior Nares Swabs and Saliva based tests. The health professionals are held to high standards with regards to sterile technique and infection prevention. All health professionals have traveled to our clients including Chicago, the Chicagoland Suburbs and Rural Illinois.
Instrument
ThermoFisher QuantStudio5 At Meditech Clinical Services, we use ThermoFisher’s QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR System for COVID-19 testing. The QuantStudio 5 Real-Time PCR Instrument uses fluorescence-based polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reagents to perform qualitative detection of targets.
Assay
The TaqPath™ COVID-19 Combo Kit contains the assays and controls for a real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in upper respiratory specimens (such as nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, nasal, and mid-turbinate swabs, and nasopharyngeal aspirate) and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) specimens from individuals suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider.

We accept all major private insurances, Medicare and Medicaid. COVID-19 RT-PCR tests are covered by your insurance plan.* We also provide COVID-19 RT-PCR tests with self-pay option at $100.00 per test.
